Google just bought DoubleClick for $3.1 billion in CASH. That’s double the amount paid for YouTube.
Here is the FAQ. From the document we learn that :
- DoubleClick has 1200 employees
- It will operate independently for some time, and then it will be integrated in Google’s services
Techcrunch also reports the news.

$3.1 billion in CASH :O
Thats a lotta money
Still confused how will they integrate them into thier own services?
May be integrating these products - http://www.doubleclick.com/us/products/
$3.1 BN , wow . Google is buying sites & networks at the speed of light. Double Click owns Performics, now will Google compete ValueClick ?
I still don’t see them making a profit from youtube - if they put ads in the clips then myspace will bump them and they’ll lose a massive number of users / views.
ya its great, but the amount is too costly, but nice idea they have chosen, always google doing new things, its interesting, your article too very interesting and informative
