Western Union Quick Cash payments will be available for pick-up the day after the payment date. The countries where Quick Cash is possible are :

China (Mainland)
Malaysia
Pakistan
Romania
Philippines
Argentina
Chile
Peru
Colombia

The comissions for the Quick Cash service are NOT the same as for the normal Western Union money transfer (hundreds of USD).

In Romania, at least, the commisions are this way (these comissions are NOT present or stated anywhere within the Google Website, nor the Western Union website):

$15 for any sum up to $3000 USD
$25 for any sum exceeding $3000 USD

The maximum payment through this service is $5000. If your payment exceeds $5000, the payment method will automatically convert to the standard check.

You can search valid Western Union agents in your city, that allow QuickCash payments, through Payment Solutions.

When will you receive a payment ? Next day :)

Read more about it in SeoPedia forum (romanian).

A friend of mine has had his AdSense account banned for click fraud.

He sent a reply to the AdSense Team, explaining that he didn’t do any fraud, or if fraud was the case there, he had no knowledge of it. Part of his reply was :

Considering that I can’t create a new AdSense account, will you allow me to rent the space in my website, to other AdSense publishers ?

As I wrote before, in the initial rumor, then the confirmation (not Google’s though), Adsense is now available for Romanian and Greek languages, officially, as Otilia Otlacan reports.

As people were afraid that the Romanian language does not appear in the official Adsense supported languages page, now it is.

Next time, trust me people :)

After posting the rumor that Adsense is available for Romanian websites, yesterday, I received a 100% confirmation that Adsense will officially enter in Romania in the following weeks.

The (let’s say) competition has something to deal with and you guys, the publishers, go ahead and make that buck you all waited for, all these years, where websites with content primarily in Romanian were deprived of the Adsense service.

PS: I will not reveal my source. I will just say that it’s 100% correct.

Google AdsenseThere are a lot of discussions at Seopedia Forum, about Adsense ads starting to appear on websites written in romanian language.

Up until now, only Public Service Announcement (PSA) ads appeared on pages with content in Romanian language.

There’s no official position on this, in the Adsense Blog, or in the supported languages page in Adsense’s Help Center.

How many of you are starting to see ads appearing in a Romanian language written website ?

Ionut Chitu, one of the most proficient bloggers out there, just got banned from Adsense because he uses the word Google in his blog’s domain name: googlesystem.blogspot.com.

The truth is, Google states (in their Google Brand Permissions page) :

Don’t register Google trademarks as second-level domain names.

The Adsense team just confirmed what we professionals already knew for more then a year now. The first ad unit (HTML source order) will always provide the highest earning ads.

How come Adsense releases this only now ? They could’ve released it ages ago. Is this some sort of desperate way to increase their earnings even more ?

How do I define the ‘first’ ad unit when using multiple ad units?

Eye TrackingHow do users interact with the list of ranked results of WWW search engines? Do they read the abstracts sequentially from top to bottom, or do they skip links? How many of the results do users evaluate before clicking on a link or reformulating the search? The answer to all these questions was found by a team of Cornell University’s Human-Computer Interaction and Computer Science Groups on an Eye-Tracking research paper.

Jeff Gillis just posted the feedback request in the Analytics Blog. After offering EFT payments to three more countries (Israel beeing the latest), it seems to me that Google is working hard to integrate the two services and to better offer Adsense publishers, the tools they need to succeed:

Do you use both Google Analytics and Google AdSense? If so, we’d like to get your feedback on two questions: Which Google Analytics reports do you use most often in conjunction with your AdSense account? And which reports or metrics would you most like to see added to Google Analytics?

They have created a special Google Groups thread for you to post your feedback.

This is your chance to suggest new features to Adsense’s team. Make it count.

Microsoft adCenter Product Managers, Kelly and Natala are blogging about the new promotion code adCenter Mints:

Most of our promotion codes will likely be targeted to new advertisers, but today, for our blog readers, we’ve created a multi-use promotion code just for you: minty06

This code (minty06) can be applied to new or existing accounts. To redeem this promotion, existing users will need to sign-in to adCenter, select the Accounts & Billing tab, and then select an account from the list. On the Account Details page, at the bottom, there is a box where you can redeem your promotion code. Simply type the code in the box and click Save. There isn’t a confirmation message yet – that’s coming in the next update. New advertisers can redeem this promotion code during the sign-up process on the Billing tab.

This promotion is available to the first 200 adCenter advertisers that redeem it (one redemption per account), and is worth $50 for U.S. currency adCenter accounts (additional currencies and countries will be supported in upcoming releases). All the small-type text below explains the legal implications of redeeming this code.
